AT - Can we add "WebSite" as a group so we can track service requests and any other general website issues.

20-Nov-2021 - Family Membership - Liz Barrett - Andy Thomas - Under Investigation
LB - Family membership forces an email and phone number for the children rather than having the option to use the parents e-mail address and phone number. It would be more useful to have the children's e-mail and phone numbers to be optional
AT - A member's e-mail address is also their login ID therefore it would always have to be unique even if you are just a family member. Using the parents email would not work in this instance and you would not be allowed to leave it blank as a child is also considered as a full member from a system point of view.
AT - I would have to speak to the developers (Codecraft) to ascertain if there is any practical workaround for this.
20-Nov-2021 - Family Membership - Liz Barrett - Andy Thomas - Under Investigation
LB - It would be useful to be able to convert individual memberships to being family memberships.
AT - There is no simple way to convert a member from Individual to Family from the web-site itself. It is possible to do this from the admin site. I tried this with my own membership and went from individual to family and set myself as the lead. I then changed Jane's to be family with me as the lead member. It does seem to work and everything looked fine, however I can't confirm if the billing will still work as expected or if there are any other downstream impacts. I then switched us both back to individual (and I found a bug with that but have manually fixed it).

KB - Can we add Gravel rides as an option in the ride app.

20-Nov-2021 - Rides App - Alizon Hargreaves (and messaging groups) - Andy Thomas - Under Investigation
AH - It would be good if we could have messaging within the rides app itself rather than folks reverting to Facebook Messenger. It would make the rides app even more interactive.
AT - Currently there is no facility for this other than the ride leader being able to add information which then gets pinged to riders via mail (which can end up in spam folders).
AT - I've been looking at ways of seeing if we could create some kind of integration between the rides app and facebook messenger (or WhatsApp or Discord etc). However I can't find a simple way of being able to dynamically create chat groups without using the underlying APIs, and even if I were to use the APIs I'm not sure it would end up being that usable for the ride leaders. It would probably make more sense to formalise how we use Facebook Messenger specifically for ride information. We could for example create separate groups for A, B1, B2, B3, C etc etc, however it would mean that folks would have to manage their memberships of those groups and dip in and out as they see fit. For each ride it might be possible to include the link to the appropriate Messenger group, but again I'd have to see how we could make that as simple as possible for ride leaders. Creating an FAQ for members would be straightforward enough
